Junior sailing provides young members with an introduction to sailing, giving them the opportunity to develop the skills and experience needed to play a full part in the club’s sailing activities.
Run by families for families, the hope is that juniors can have fun in a safe and welcoming environment, with parents passing on their knowledge so that juniors can enjoy all that the club has to offer.
There is a full programme of sailing on a Saturday, starting in late March / April and running through to October. The club have several boats the juniors use, including 4 Oppies, a Gul, 2 Picos, 2 RS Qubas, a Scow and a Cadet. Private boats are also used regularly, including Scows, Toppers, Lasers, and RS Fevas. Tea and plenty of cakes are available before, during and after the sessions and there is often an informal picnic or BBQ after sailing.
